  • Telephone Hour
The doctors answer the telephone every day of the year from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. in order to respond to questions or schedule appointments. Parents find this a convenient time to contact us so they can plan their day or get early care or advice for a sick child.
  • Return Calls
In addition to our telephone hour service, parents may request a return call anytime during the day from a doctor or a nurse. We return calls within a reasonable period of time. In the evening, after office hours, the doctor on-call will return calls from parents of ill children to offer advice.
  • Early Morning Visits for Ill Child
To assure timely examination of ill children, and to help parents, office visits for acute illness are available 9 a.m. every morning, 365 days a year. If you call on phone hour, we will see you the same day. One can also schedule ill child visits for a later time (even Holidays – see next 2 sections).
  • Scheduled Appointments
    • Illness related appointments are available from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
    • Monday through Saturday and 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Regular health supervision examination (check-up) appointments are available:

One of our doctors is in the office in the mornings on Sundays and Holidays (New Year’s Day,Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day , Labor Day , Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas , New Year’s Day) until all the children in need of examination are seen.

The office then closes and the doctor will be available on-call for emergencies. If a child needs to be seen on a Sunday or Holiday, it is best to call on telephone hour that day to arrange an appointment before the office closes. The office charge at these times is greater than the charge for visits during regular office hours.

  • After Hours

The parent should telephone our office number and inform the answering service or doctor of the nature of the problem. The doctor will give advice regarding appropriate management and care. It is always best to telephone first before transporting a child to an emergency facility. Many visits can be avoided with appropriate advice.

IN ANY INSTANCE OF A LIFE-THREATENING PROBLEM, YOUR FIRST CALL SHOULD BE TO YOUR LOCAL RESCUE SQUAD at911.

  • After Hours and Prenatal Talks
Prenatal and new patient interviews are welcome. There is no fee for this service. Some children’s issues require more time for discussion than is available during regular hours. Many topics require the participation of both parents or other parties. Our physicians are available for after hours consultations, either in person or by telephone, regarding these topics. These consultations can be scheduled by calling the office during regular hours.
