The covid vaccine is very effective at preventing hospital admission from covid disease. It is, therefore, recommended that all
children receive a primary series and booster.
Both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are effective and safe, but the Moderna vaccine is available in single dose vials for all ages.
The Pediatric Group has, therefore, acquired the Moderna vaccine and will administer it to our patients who desire it, from 6 months through 11 years. Children 12 and older may continue to receive vaccination from their local pharmacy at their convenience.
Because it comes in single dose vials, the vaccine can be administered at ANY visit, including well visits, acute office visits for other reasons, and vaccine visits.
